A Social Experiment in Public Hooping

A couple of months ago, I had an idea for a cool social experiment.  Could I use signs to break down social barriers and bring happiness to strangers? Upon Yair’s encouragement, I created, colored and laminated four signs:

Let’s Talk! (About Something Interesting… We Can Learn From Each Other)

I piloted the “Free Lesson” sign at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport this past week with wicked results.  Over 25 people (including airport security and custodians) learned to hoop, four naval officers received a well-earned break and my goal is to recruit a couple of pilots and maybe start a massage circle the next time around. Some highlights are below:
