The Climbing In Boulder Is Amazing

12 08 2011

I’ve been climbing in Boulder Canyon with a guy I found on Couchsurfing. I searched for people with “climbing” in their profile and came up with a solid ~100 results. One of the things that I quickly learned, however, is that people who have “rock climbing” listed as an interest haven’t necessarily done it more than once. Or outside. Or ever.

Anyway, I met this guy named Ken and we’ve hit up a lot of climbing routes in Boulder Canyon. We’re both climbing around the same grade and I’m teaching him the ropes (literally) when it comes to rigging. I just got back from four hours of climbing at  a place called “Nip and Tuck” and had a fantastic time, even climbing through some light rain towards the end.

I think I’m pretty addicted to this sport.

Ahhhhh…gotta love that gratuitous butt shot 🙂
Looks like you guys had a blast!
If you’re still in Boulder DO take the drive to Nederland to check it out. It’s a cool little town. Ask someone there to tell you about the story of the frozen guy.
