Overnight In Siskiyou National Forest

9 09 2011

[This one ain’t bad, but there’s a more exciting post coming up on Sunday. Guaranteed]

This post is of a heads-up for RVers visiting Crater Lake National Park who are looking for a sweet spot to boondock on the south side of the park. About fifteen minutes south of the entrance to the park is a snowmobiling area on NF-6237, just off of Highway 62.

The area is quiet, gorgeous, and has paved parking for any size rig during summer months. (In winter and spring Crater Lake gets 40+ FEET of snow.)

Ayo just spent the last hour exercising in our backyard playground and in a few minutes we’ll be heading to Crater Lake National Park where we’ll spend a relaxing afternoon and renew our America The Beautiful Pass. No expectations, but I’ve heard that Crater Lake is beautiful.
