The past four months in Austin have been incredible. This city is a keeper, but summer is striking hard. Today hit 104 degrees and the rest of this week doesn’t look much different. This will be our last week in this lovely place, and a summer trip is in the works.
We’ve explored lots of new spots with new and old friends, finding gems such as Mayfield Park and its peacocks, Zumba at a street festival, free outdoor symphony and blues concerts, and movies at food trailer parks.
Through this we’ve continued to volunteer, do acroyoga, juggle, train on rings, and hang with friends, including Chris and Cherie from Technomadia and Erica and Shaun from Overyonderlust. (We’ve done meals together, taken a tour of the capitol building, and generally enjoyed the company!)
There’s so much more to catch up on, which is why our next post will include some fun photos of things that we’ve been up to.
Austin, you’ve pleasantly surprised us. Thank you.
Some photos from our explorations
And some juggling practice footage from the end of May.
